I'm anticipating some good things to happen during Lent. Mainly, I'm hoping to become more rooted in the Lord. There is so much fluff in our world and it ends up leading to an unfruitful/undisciplined life. Last night I went out with a friend to a bar and had a drink and then we had a long conversation at Starbucks....I feel like I did FAT Tuesday and am ready for Lent to begin.
I really like what Nouwen had to say in today's reading, the part about, "God's mercy is greater than our sins."
